I have found some great things on my google reader so far. I have not had a chance to go through many of the articles but from what I have gone through so far I am impressed. I have subscribed to the Highlights magazine just for teachers feed. This feed provides great lesson ideas. Some go along with a theme such as an upcoming holiday or like great lessons to go along with Black History Month. I also like that I can view the blogs that I am following in the Google reader. It is easier for me to read them because of the format.
I would definitely use Smilebox, Voicethread, and Animoto in my classroom. Smilebox and Animoto would provide great ways for students to document things that happen throughout the year. I could see using voicethread for a variety of subjects and projects. It would be great for students who have problems getting up in front of the class to give a presentation. It would also be a great tool to incorporate into guided reading lessons.
