Hi Everyone! This is my enhanced photo of our frizzle chicken, Zsa Zsa. The original photo had my daughter in it too, so I cropped her out and enhanced the picture by intensifying colors and shading so now she doesn't look so washed. She is a pretty chicken but the "diva" of our flock. She came to us from the Dane Co. Humane Soc. in December. She was a stray, you can have chickens in your backyard in Madison, and was found outside of Madison West H. S. No one claimed her so she joins 2 other chickens we got from DCHS where our daughter works; Helen came to us in May as a 8 week old chick and only has one functioning leg and Carol came to us right before Christmas and she was a stray and was found at the DeForest truck stop. They think she fell off a chicken truck on her way to slaughter since she was debeaked. She is very sweet and it's nice no one told them that they are not supposed to lay in winter!
