Skype is essentially internet communication tool that can transmit audio, video and text in the form of messages and or messaging.
The educaitonal uses could allow for a Web 2.0 pen pal. Cultural exchange with others from across the state, country or the world. It could be used to allow an individual to log in from a remote location so that they could participate from a distance in a lesson when they could not otherwise be present.
