Skype and DimDim

I just had a chance to play around with skype and dimdim. I have worked with dimdim before and I think that it is a great tool. I thought that it would be neat to use either dimdim or skype to connect with other classrooms. It would be a great way to get feedback on presentations or skits from other students outside the school without actually leaving the classroom. It would also be a great way to study other communities or to have guest speakers. We had a career day last year and many of the speakers ended up not being able to make it because of the travel time. Just think of all of the neat people who could share their information with the class.
